Marathon- The Last Florida Stop

We had a bumpy ride down the west coast of Florida but reaching Marathon was sweet place to end up. We’ve been here off and on for years. Before the “mooring field”. As one of the few calm harbors in the Florida Keys it has become an attractive place for cruisers to hang. In 2008 it was cruiser friendly. And; some hang quite a while . A good dinghy dock - quite often full. New showers being built. A place for cruisers to finish left over projects. Easy access to transportation, stores, and health care. . We easily could have stayed longer. Yet there is a big world out there and a lot to see. .
